There are two videos of Harry Styles backstage at the Z100's Jingle Ball that are currently undergoing dissection and analysis. The point being that in one video, Styles stands still while Taylor Swift sings and dances. The second video shows Styles singing and dancing after Swift leaves to perform.
Some One Direction fans (Directioners) are drawing the conclusion that Styles isn't very interested in Swift due to his behavior.
While it is actually impossible to discern with 100% accuracy what someone is feeling based upon a video, it is likely that the fans have this entirely wrong.
The fact that Styles doesn't sing and dance when with Swift and appears to some fans as "awkward" is most likely indication of liking Swift a great deal. He may be in awe of her, wants to watch her, and may not feel completely comfortable with her yet. He may be more apprehensive of his behavior to ensure he makes the best impression.
In the other video, Swift isn't there and he sings and dances. This may not mean that he is more relaxed, as some Directioners suppose, but rather he is trying to occupy himself while he waits for Swift.
It could even be a mechanism to prevent talking to those around him as he is "busying" himself watching Swift while singing and dancing.
Again, studying body language clues is fun and can be extremely telling, but is never an exact science. There is always room for interpretation and reasons for behavior not clearly identified.
However, after viewing the videos, I would say I disagree with the Directioners on this and believe Styles behavior with Swift is a clear indication he has great feelings for her.
